Back to Vacations (if you really have nothing better to do)!
A common sight that greets new arrivals to the state are 'Welcome' signs. Another common sight is the hugging of said 'Welcome' signs by random, anonymous tourists. |
My family and I have gone to Colorado almost every summer. We typically visit Breckinridge, but we have also been to Beaver Creek and have usually stopped by Denver. While there, we usually stay in a rented cabin with my cousins' family and at least one dog. The trips are rarely eventful: we go on at least one hiking trip and spend a lot of time walking and watching TV and videos. There are certainly more interesting trips we could have had... |
Of course, there was that one time when Denver suddenly burst into poorly drawn, MS Paint generated flames. We had just left the city and were, like most, struck by panic when we beheld the towering, stupid-looking inferno. Fortunately, like most things associated with Microsoft, it soon performed an illegal operation and was shut down. Thus, the city was saved. If not for the slightly editted picture to the right, all evidence of that brief, horrible-looking attempt at a tragedy would be gone forever. We must never forget the rather idiotic lack of horror on that day! | Regardless of what others might tell you, you don't know fear until you've seen a major city spontaneously engulfed by fire that was obviously manufactured by an inferior art tool. The memories haunt me to this day... |
